We’re Splat the Rat, a lively folk band playing in and around Swindon and Wiltshire.
Expect a spirited mix of folk favourites, Irish reels and jigs, and songs from Mumford & Sons, The Waterboys, Richard Thompson, The Pogues and The Levellers. From The Irish Rover and Drunken Sailor to Galway Girl, Tell Me Ma and Wagon Wheel, there is plenty to sing along to — and much more besides.

Our story
A little about Splat the Rat.
Going strong since 2013, Splat the Rat are a lively folk band playing in and around Swindon and Wiltshire, bringing fiddle, guitars and a driving rhythm to music made for good company.
With a spirited sound and a sense of fun, they’re all about getting feet tapping, voices joining in and a room enjoying itself together. Expect plenty of energy, a warm welcome and a good excuse to stay for one more tune.
Available for weddings, private parties, festivals and pub gigs, Splat the Rat bring their lively folk sound to celebrations and stages of all sizes.
